View Full Version : Shaving Pubic Hairs

I have very thick pubic hairs and they are irritating, especially when I masturbate and it hurts because I pull out hairs and stuff.
I've tried shaving a couple of times. (With those electric shavers that you use for your face, but have those side-burn shavers on the back that you can flip up)
But, it got really itchy because when the hairs grew back to about 2 or 3 millimeters they would poke my skin and it would get very irritating, especially with those itchy red bumps. It also is a real hassle to shave the hairs around my testicles because that skin is really sensitive and I have cut it and nicked it numerous times with an electric shaver, and it's painful.

So are there any shavers out there that I can buy at Walgreens or CVS or something... I'm aware that "personal shavers" exist, but are there any that I can get that are for shaving your face and your pubic hairs without leaving bumps and don't nick the skin around your testicles... I would like to just tell my parents it was for shaving my face... because to me it's personal business and I don't really want them to know about it.

part of your discomfort might be due to the type of shaver, although this seems less an irritation than the resultant pubes growing back and itching. that won;t change regardless of the type of shaver you use. Are your pubes really that annoying for you that you'd risk cutting yourself and endure the itch of them growing back? Maybe you should just trim closely with scissors, which will shorten the hairs but not have them irritate when they grow back?

I'm strongly against shaving pubic hair. It's better to just trim it with sissors because there's a few risks, such as razor burn, ingrown hairs, and whenever you shave your pubic hair and it grows back, it'll itch like hell! I suggest you just trim it.

Looks like the FAQ needs another question added :-s

Yeah I don't really do that part anymore...

i have the side burn trimmer on my razor too, works great, what i do is i dont shave it all off couse personally i like the look, i just make it look short and clean, so i take a comb, and do what hair dressers so, and just take it to the length i want, and shave off all the hair above the comb, works perfectly,

Umm... Movealong... I tried trimming with just scissors. IT ITCHES LIKE HELL!! Apparently it doesn't matter if you shave or trim, it's still gonna itch really bad. REALLY BAD. I don't know if I'll ever do it again. I'll just go out with girls that like "rugged men" :D .

Maybe you used a different technique. As far as I've read, no one has had a sugnificant problem with itching and trimming with sissors. Sorry man :D

I just shaved mine - and reshaved it b/c of the scratchiness - so I may be stuck like this unless I get the courage to bear through the scratchy feeling for a few weeks.
