Hi I just want to know if anyone of you girls have to share a room with a sibling, and how do you handle sharing, cuz i have to share with my twin, but my twin is a boy, our living arrangements are not adequate at the moment, five kids in a three bedroom house, so I am sharing with my twin brother, but he's becoming really testy these days about being in the same room with me and even tho i usually change in the bathroom, it's getting uncomfortable for me too, since i would really like to u know, experiment with my self and stuff, anyway I would really like to know for those of u out there sharing how do u handle it?

Whenever I have to with my sister it's not really an issue, but if I were you i'd ask for another roommate. Preferably another girl sibiling

your problem is not an easy one but should be addressed by your parents. Apart from yourself it would not be easy for your brother. Not knowing the age/sex of the other siblings makes it difficult to suggest a room change.

I usually have to share room with my brother when we're on holidays, and it works out fine. We knock before entering, turn around while dressing/undressing and so on. :)

talk to your sibling about it. if you want personal time to the room to do what ever it is that you want to do tell him. i had a roommate once at a military school and he and i had an understanding of "hey man i need the room for a half an hour" im sure if your sibling is mature enough, hed understand.

I've shared with my brother when our current house was being built and we were in a small appartment for months as well as hotel rooms, tents etc. - it's probably why we aren't shy about being naked around eachother etc. now I suppose. After enough accidents when changing etc it just wasnt a big deal, mystery gone

I share with my brother on holidays and stuff, and we've always been super close like twins so I guess it's not overly awkward for us because we knock before entering, I change separately because I shower every morning, we compromise a lot. If he wants to be in the room alone with his xbox or w/e I go sit in the lounge on my laptop etc.

That's a tough spot to be in. I guess you could try to talk to your parents and see if there's some way things can be rearranged so you're not sharing with your brother. I've always shared a room, but I have three sisters (two older and one younger), so I've never had to share with my brother at home. On vacations we're usually all in one hotel room. So when it comes time to change our brother will use the bathroom and the four of us will change in the room.

i dont have a brother but one of my cousins lived with us last year for like 10 months. when he got there i was almost 15 and he was 18. my mom made him stay in my room bcuz the only other option was my little sister's and she was 12 and just hitting puberty and she screamed about it.
