View Full Version : What is it, exactly?

I was just wondering, what exactly is a boyfriend or girlfriend to you? I know there's the obvious, like each other, staying with each other, relationship lovey-dovey stuff, but is it always like that in everyone's mind? When I think of those words, I always get those thoughts in my mind, but I always think alongside that, that from what I want in a relationship with a girl, it doesn't really involve that too much.

I'm not used to socializing too much, no matter how much I hang with my friends, I'm just not used to it like I should be. My regular "posse" (mainly my guy friends), always hang with me and we always have good times. But I'm not really having as much fun as I do when a girl who I'm close to is in the group. (No one specifically, just in general)

One of my all time best friends is a girl, and when I hang with her, I always have the most fun time. I'd thought about a relationship with her at one point, but my thoughts had nothing to do with the usual bf/gf idea. Just us being friends, basically, but being together more than usual. No dates or kissing or whatever. If it were appropriate, I probably would be calling her my girlfriend. Even the girl who I love right now, I really can't think of much more than a more involved friendship with her, despite my feelings. I'd just be satisfied with that and nothing more.

Does anyone think the same? That a boyfriend or girlfriend isn't necesssarily as serious as it's usually showed?

Sounds like ur with. The wrong girl, if u can just be ur self and have fun without labeling ur relationship then it will probably Lead to something more, dose ure friend know how u feal about her.

Oh. Sorry if I was misleading.

This isn't a question regarding a problem with me. I was just asking people's opinion on what their definition of a boyfriend/girlfriend is to them.

I think that the whole 'boyfriend/girlfriend' thing is just a label and doesn't really matter. If you think you're in a relationship, and it's mutual then I don't think it matters that you aren't calling each other boyfriend/girlfriend. I think it all depends on your personal view of relationships to be honest. I think that it really only becomes somewhat serious when you're thinking of spending the future etc with them.

you both have to agree on where your relationship stands. Like most tv shoes; once you hug, kiss, hold hands, feel up, hell, f*ck then your offficial. But you botth have to agree.
