silly question but whats the point of boxers?

I always worn briefs and sometimes boxer briefs but I don't like things around my legs because its not comfy. I know people still wear boxers so if you're one of those people, my silly question is why?

I always think boxers don't really do anything, no support, no warmth, for me when I tried it felt like commando which I didn't like. Is it just cos they are sensible and cover everything up?

I'll wear them to sleep in, but they are my least favorite of the 3 kinds of underwear. I like support for my baby-makers, and like Adam said, boxers just don't do that very well.

I like them because I don't want tight pants, but I do want something in between my bits and my trousers.

The only reason I wear boxers is for the sake of having underwear on. Other times, I'm wearing briefs for the needed support or nothing at all. But boxers are definitely quite comfy if you get the ones made out of the soft satin material. Great for just lounging around.

i love boxers cause it's the freedom i want without having to freeball. briefs and boxer briefs just feel too constricting

They look good, people like them and the feel comfortable by being loose and not squished. It's just another style of underwear.

I don't understand how people find boxers comfortable. They always bunch up around my legs and they don't give any support. I guess some people like the freedom, but I prefer briefs.
