So I am considering getting one. But I'm worried for 1) the incredibly painful experience and 2) risk of infection. How am I supposed to avoid that? There is a lot of bacteria in pee. Anyone who has one, what do you have to say?

If you get it from a reputable store and keep it clean, there should only be a small risk of infection. It looks quite painful, however, and can take a while to heal. Think carefully about getting it since it will hurt and it serves no purpose, other than aesthetics.
