I'm having horrible anxiety, I know it's gonna last for another 12 days. But what can I do to ease it?

What are you so anxious about?

For short-term anxiety like that, I use Inderal (propranolol) tablets. They're beta-blockers that work like a charm. Very good for exam stress etc.

Talking is usually the best bet, I find. If you can find what you're so anxious about then that's a massive step towards overcoming it. Talk to someone you trust, be it a friend, relation, counselor, whatever.

If the anxiety does persist, though, and it's getting too much, then I would go talk to a doctor. They can refer you to a counselor, who might do some Cognitive Behavioural Therapy with you (in a nutshell, it teaches you to look at problems in life with an eye to using them to help yourself, ish). They might also prescribe some medicines (be it something like Diazepam, Propranolol, or an SSRI) to help relieve the anxiety.

If you want someone to talk to, then we're here for you

I've talked to my dad about it, and my step mom and him are feeling the same way. I don't think it's something that needs medical attention, just something that needs to hurry up! Haha

Sometimes just venting what's on my mind and getting it all out to somebody I can really trust helps my anxiety. Being able to talk about whatever I'm anxious about and have them listen/give their feedback/input helps quite a bit, for me at least.

Does that really help though Mike? I mean, I talk to my friend that helped me through a tragedy and he said that I have anxiety. I mean, can you just vent or vent and have them give their feedback to you? I vent all the time to my closest bud but he never gives me any feedback.

It doesn't solve all of your problems, but it can help you a bit with short term anxiety, as I said in my post. It helps calm me down a little bit, helps me feel some comfort, which makes me feel good.

But the point of venting is to just like make you get it out of your system though. I mean, I'm fine with my problems not being solved all the time, don't get my wrong.

You aren't even making sense, honestly. You're acting like you're disagreeing but then reiterating what I'm saying.
