Minecraft 2 - Minecraft just got an upgrade!

I got bored one day and decided to screw around with my Minecraft.jar and it turned into a entire game on itself. (mostly just mass modded at the moment) anyways I'm working on cleaning up the minecraft,jar at the moment while I try and find a tutorial for java, so I can do a few custom modifications.

What a misleading title- I thought you were posting about Mojang releasing an official Minecraft 2.

Anyways, what are you planning to do after you've modded the minecraft?

If you are really interested in development around Minecraft, maybe Spout (https://github.com/SpoutDev/Spout) hacking is a better way to start than with the closed-source client package decompilation?

I downloaded the pre-release actually but when I opened it, I got the error that my minecraft.jar was corrupt. I guess the libraries blocks don't like Mojang much
