Well, It's kinda hard. If you tell him directly, they will think: So what is he going to do? and they may even ask you. to avoid that, I would just talk about it when there is something similar being spoken, Like "oh, yea, I could do with a bit more privacy too...", and after that, just from time to time, if they still didn't give you some privacy, talk about it. Maybe another way would be (as your dad seems to understand you) to talk with him, and tell him to talk to the others about it. All this in case your family just doesn't understand you. If they know what's going on and they don't mind, just throw it, it'll go well.

Good Luck, I'm here to talk, no matter when ;)

I've always found that the best way to gain privacy is to be verbal about it. You aren't a little kid anymore - you're a teenager now - teenagers tend to like their privacy. This is something that parents generally will understand, hopefully yours will.

Just explain to your mum and sister that they wouldn't like it if you walked in on them without knocking, and you don't either. Be blunt.

I agree .....be blunt....as a teen your sister SHOULD understand that there is a need for privacy...not that you're going to be doing anything just that you need time for yourself sometimes....

Mike hit the nail on its head.

Teenagers like privacy and they sort of require it. Just be vocal about your problems and then hopefully your parents will understand you need your space and privacy.
