I have experimented in similar ways with friends, however never with family members. I don't really see anything particularly wrong with experimenting with family, especially as distant as a cousin. However it may have unforeseeable effects on your relationship. I have heard of many people growing close from experimenting like this, but I've also heard of people growing apart. It can make it really awkward between you two, so be careful.

Experimenting is a normal thing to do, doesn't make any difference if it's your cousin or friend, as long both people enjoy it and are comfortable then why stop.
