First if you dont know what PTSD stands for its Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. But my question being does it normally link to depression? I have PTSD, i was diagnosed with it 3 or 4 years ago now. I wasnt depressed then, but after that, about a year i became extremly depressed and its subsided some but still its there, I notice it and it affects me and others can tell. No one that i know of in the family has depression so im just wondering could PTSD link to it? My girlfriend says i really should talk to someone about it. I want to but me.. ill just not bother.

Hey there. I was diagnosed with PTSD a year ago, after my mom was shot. I was also diagnosed with depression that very same day. I didn't really believe that I was suffering from depression, or PTSD for that matter. I feel it now... And it hurts so bad. It's possible that they are linked together, as depression can be caused by stresses in your life. My advice to you is to seek out help for yourself before you decide to do anything rash. I know what it feels like to be depressed. It hurts all over. So definitely talk to someone about it, kay?
