If yours is other, please specify below.

I did International because not everyone is from America or England or etc.

I picked Delta. Even if you haven't travelled on one, pick one that has good ratings based on resarch and what not.

Why isn't WestJet on here but fucking Air Canada is.

On Air Canada the stewardess is likely to smother you with a pillow if you ask for one.

Well the only ones I've flown are national, but Delta gets my vote, since I'm flying with them on Friday.

I was always a continental fan, but after the merger, we'll still stay with united. We will never fly Delta again, not gonna make that mistake again, plus getting into the United Club through my dads work is a nice bonus!

Frontier services Cancun, Mexico, and is therefore an international carrier.

I say BA by far, but Qantas, Singapore airlines and a couple others not listed are up there.

Whops. Sorry. Didn't know that.

I was going to put Qantas up there but you only know so many different nationalities on VT. How many teens on here have used Singapore Airlines or Korea Airways and etc.?

British Airway's just because I'm a tad soft and like the taste of home/national pride... Although I dislike Willie Walsh (CEO "IAG")

I'm also biased towards Swiss...

DELTA!!!! or JetBlue

American Airways or Iberian are the worst, especially if you're doing a trans-Atlantic flight. When I went to Paris, then back from Madrid I was so uncomfortable.

The 2011 Skytrax Awards has chosen Qatar Airways as the best airline in the world in all booking classes. With the 2012 Awards being held this month (12th July) at the Farnborough International Airshow which is held every other year.

However having travelled in all booking classes with Qatar Airways since this announcement last year - I do not agree. In terms of First Classes I would say that Emirates is probably my favourite followed by Singapore Airlines, Qantas, Etihad, Cathay Pacific, BA. These airlines are also all Skytrax 4/5* Rated Airlines.

In the Business Cabin my favourite(s) are probably Singapore Airlines, Air New Zealand, Virgin (Virgin and Air New Zealand do not offer a First Class product) then BA.

My all time favourite though is Emirates.

I've always put a lot of emphasis on the quality and friendliness of the crew as a marker for quality of an airline. From my flying experience, the best crews I've found were on Delta Mainline and Aer Lingus.

The only one I've flown with on the list is United on a short distance flight, so obviously I couldn't have had a great experience with them... I think that Air Mauritius or SAA are probably the best that I have flown with, although all in all when flying a long distance flight in Economy class, almost every good airline is on a similar level, except for the exceptional ones which I have not yet flown with (unless the ones I listed are on par with them)

I voted virgin Australia, they are a great airline and are improving rapidly, while Qantas Is just falling into a hole.

Though the best international airline is Singapore Airlines. Great seats in economy, and business is just amazing! The food is also very very delicious. Plus Singapore airport is the most pleasant I have had the joy of visiting

I went with BA solely because I flew them last year and was very impressed. We had a perfect flight LHR-GLA not a single bump and he kissed the runway like it was his wife.

However, I found that easyjet were very good aswell, legroom on a par with British Airways and on both flights we had great landings (We flew to Heraklion, Crete, witch is a very difficult airport to land at and he did a great landing with barely any "thump" back to earth)

I wish you had United. I LOVE them! Southwest used to be good (and mostly still is) but they lost my luggage once so since then I have no trust in Southwest. United has smooth flights, friendly staff, and great meal options.

+1 for United <3

EDIT: *facepalm* They do have United but I didn't see it. Ugh, -1 vote for Other and +1 for United...

This poll has been running 12 day's, and it is very clear that the single most popular on votes is British Airway's. (Yes other has more votes but it's a larger category)

Gold star for Willie Walsh. :P Yes I'm being sarcastic.

EDIT: This post was correct at time of first submission.

Anyone checked the Skytrax 2012 Awards? I suppose each airline has a category they excel in for example.

I'm not sure how British Airways has managed to be the most popular...their planes are dated (saying that they are due for A380 and 787 delivery early next year) , their interiors are scruffy (apart from the 77W product which is slowly being rolled out) and they have abominable catering which hasn't got an 'up side' apart from their chocolates they give out in First/Business class, they are ace.

Emirates and Singapore Airlines. I've flown on AA and Delta, and neither are anything special. Qatar Airlines is nice only if you can shell out $600+ additional fare for first class, otherwise its not so great. Luftansa was another great airline that makes my list.

5. Delta Air Lines

The people who work for Air Canada are more likely to strangle you than actually do something for you.

Asian airlines generally have much better service I've found. But I liked Swiss the couple of times I flew it as well. In order of ranking my top five are probably:

2. Cathay Pacific
3. Singapore Airlines
4. Jet Airways
5. Swiss

British Airways are very good and therefore get my vote.. However Virgin Atlantic are brilliant, and Virgin America are just amazing but don't quite top BA.. Not often you get leather seats, massive legroom and a TV on a 1 hour flight though, and with VA you get just that on LAX-SFO.. :)

I love southwest too but really theoreticsally speaking suppose southwest and an airline like emirates were to compete, same route same ticket price, emirates would win by far, that being said southwest is a LCC so there no need for tvs and showers
