You can find it at any store, it's an over the counter acne medicine. It costs anywhere from $5-$25 just depends what brand you get, Neutrogena, Clearasil, Clean and Clear, etc
I'm unsure how long it takes, but my guess would be about 2-8 months.

What it does is softens the pores and unclogs them. It also helps your skin generate new skin cells faster. If you get a Dermatologist to give you a Chemical Peel, I believe that's what will make your skin peel within a few days, so that would really remove scarring.
Benzoyl Peroxide is the one that kills the bacteria that causes pimples. But I'd prefer Salicylic Acid, because when your skin is making new cells at a faster rate, theirs not much time for a pimple to stay on your face.
