Amanda, the solution is quite easy. Find a new hobby! Something that will occupy you all day so that you forget about cutting. What do you like? You can find a hobby, like scrapbooking, drawing, swimming, singing, dancing, all that jazz! Also, keep any blades or sharp items away from your body and hands especially. Once you see them, you may be tempted to try cutting again. Here's a site with a bunch of lists of hobbies. Look at them, and pick one or more that appeal to you and may occupy you (It has over 200 hobbies!) ;)

As stated above, hobbies are the best.
Cutting is very addictive and hard to stop.

Find something you enjoy and do it daily. Even if your happy.

Photography, games, animal care, plant care, reading. Maybe into writing.

Just some suggestions.

target sports that require focus... maybe not with a gun - archery, darts, something like that?

A suggestion would be like what everyone else has said is to take up some kind of hobby.

Another few things would be to try and perhaps use a marker and draw on the area where you would have the urge to cut. Then after that reflect and think about, Is this really what you want to do? Is this the only option of getting by? You might find the answer is "no".

Anyway that's my suggestion. Please don't cut yourself, you never in the end gain from it.

First you need to just calm down and gather your thoughts. What is making the urge? Is it a big deal? Or think about what it will leave. Scars. I hate my scars, and thinking about making another one usually makes me cool down a bit. You can also do something you enjoy like run, draw, dance, etc.
