So I cannot properly digest dairy. If I have anything dairy I must take a pill so I may digest it. I'm on a P90X diet plan, so I cannot eat to many sugary foods. My favorite food is instant jello pudding. As u know, that's has sugar in it. I was wondering, since i have to stir in milk, if I would digest that pudding and get the calories from it? Since the sugar chocolate powder dissolves in the milk, would that make it so I cannot digest it? And lastly, what exactly is digestion? Is it where you get nutrients from a food or calories?

Remember I cannot digest milk without taking a pill. So when I have my pudding, I just won't take my pill. (PS, I've had about 3 cups of pudding about 4x a week, and haven't gained any drastic weight, since last year I've gained about 5 lb)

Digestion is the breaking down of larger foods into smaller pieces and cells that can be absorbed into the blood. It is triggered by chewing, which is why many say chewing gum is bad for you as you essentially trick your body into getting ready for the digestion process.

By you saying you cannot digest dairy, it must mean that your body has a problem with breaking down dairy products (like lactose is found in many dairy products). Because of this, the pill provides extra enzymes which can aid your body to dbreak down the milks components.

So since the pudding has milk in it, if I do not take my pill. I will get none of the calories and sugars or anything from the pudding? That's my main concern lol, cause I'm ok with not getting anything from the pudding besides the taste

Yes you will. I'm not a complete expert on this, but from what I've researched and studied the pill will 'emulate' the breaking down of a normal person. The calories and that rubbish- are all the same. It could differ with your pill. I can't give you a certain answer.
