I don't know what to do anymore!

There is my friend on my bus I get on to school (it's a public bus).
He goes to a private school (and his sister) and he has suddenly started to try and be the better of me and make a fool of me in front of my friends

For example today he said his sister wasn't going on her work experience because she was tired. I said I know how she feels I've been working hard for the past 2 months too with my exams
He said that his sisters teachers are so much better than mine a my comprehensive. That my teachers and school arent as good and his and his sistes are loads better.
From then on he stared ignoring me and when I paused my music so I could listen to his conversation without him knowing he was saying some quite harsh stuff about me.
He stared curtisising what I stand being really harsh.

He is my friend but obviously not a good one.
What sould I do this kinda thing happens every day and I getting sick of it.
Shall I say do you want to be friend and make up or not be friend s any more (I mean he is not a good friend if he tries to make a fool of me and prove he is above me

If this is how he is going to act, then I wouldn't trust him. Clearly, you go to different schools. His may have "better" teachers. However, that doesn't mean you aren't getting a better education than him because you try much harder. Anyway, just ignore him. If he continues for much longer, than he really is just someone who will do whatever he can to make himself look good, and you don't want to be friends with someone like that.

don't be friends with him any more. or maybe just ask him outright why he feels the need to be such a dick?
