SO yesterday my report card got mailed home and my parents got it. I was at my friends house and I wake up to my parents blowing up my phone saying ok not going to get into the colleges I want to get into and that I'm not gonna get far in college and gonna get kicked out of national honor society (you have to maintain a 90 gpa throughout high school and have leadership and community service) I got into nhs and my parents still think I'm a screw up. I got an 88 for the marking period and have a 92 overall gps throughout high school. My brother and sister didn't have as good of grades as me and they didn't get told that they aren't gonna get into any colleges and other shut like that. I have the highest grades anyone in my fam had besides my two aunts that got valedictorian when they were in high school but my parents arent super geniuses so they shouldn't be judging. Im just getting tired of getting treated like shot. I work my ass off in school play sports every season and work on the side and still maintain a high gpa and still am a "fuck up". And then when when I got home my mom flipped out on me and shut and I said one word the whole time and she grounded me for having a "tude". I'm just getting tired of it and I can't handle the pressure anymore I just feel like it would be easier on them if I was just out of their lives.

Wow! Sounds like you have tough parents. I just don't know why parents these days are super super hard on us when we are working our butts off! Sorry what happened, all I got to say is good luck right now.

Sorry this "shut" is happening to you. I know how you feel, I'm under pressure to always pull up my C's and it's literally only ONE C and my parents flip out.

But whatever, hope the situation gets better for you.

oh yes, sounds familiar to me.
my grandmother always expects only A's and when I get anything different I get grounded.
I figured out that when she was young she failed a lot and she isn't content with her accomplishments. so she decided to make me perfect so she has something to be proud of.

I know the feeling, I was in NHS, president of some clubs, and played hockey in HS. Now I got accepted to the Honors Program at my University and got a Full Ride, but I consistently get told I'm not going to make it through college.
