So, I just finished cutting (go firgure) & I've been noticing this for a short while, but after I cut I have immediate itching!! Now I know it's normal when healing, but idk about right after. And it never happened before... Could this be infection? My razor blade has never been washed or sanitized, I found it in the garage some months ago. (yes i know, I just don't care...)
What could the instant itching mean?

its probably cause whatever you use to cut isn't clean so it would just give the raw cuts a minor infection

I used to get it all the time, it's just the cut's healing.

It happens to me too. It's just a reaction to the air and the skin trying to heal, since healing starts immediately after you cut but you don't see the scabs until the next day. It's normal. Just to be sure though, I'd wash your razor (well preferably throw it away, but we all know how difficult that is, so might as well just wash it to be as safe as you can.)

It's not necessarily infection. I used to get the itching all the time. Usually if you clean the wound nicely with a warm rag with just water, it will sooth it for a time. But no, I don't think it's because of what you're using. It wouldn't hurt, however, to get something cleaner to use. It's kinda terrible, but I used to use steak knives. I had preferences.... It was creepy.

I had this a couple of years ago, someone told me it was withdrawal symptoms. At first I didn't believe it, but it became true since the itching slowed down because rather than stopping completely I decided to reduce instead, and the itching went away. I was itching to kind of get the feel like it was cutting. If there is a serious itch then it could be what Beth said about the healing.

Withdrawl? I got constant awareness and this weird feeling underneath my skin and it always made me want to do it. It's like an itch, but it isn't itchy. Is that the same as you?

Yes! Exactly that. Itching where you had to cut.

Rinse the razor off with some rubbing alchohal. Better safe then sorry. I've had some pretty bad infections due to not cleaning it off. Just make sure you do that. Itching is normal though.
