I do it normally in the bathroom or shower - but if in the bathroom, turn the fan on, that way they can't hear. Even if you're silent while doing it - it masks the time that you're just sitting there, b/c they may be able to hear when you get toilet paper (assuming that you're actually going to the bathroom while in there).
