Who wants to enlist in their country's military?

Hey everyone! I was just wondering who wanted to enlist in their country's military. I for one, want to enlist in the United States Marine Corps, and become either a Martial Arts Instructor-Trainer or a Military Police Officer. After that I plan on becoming a Law Enforcement Officer in these United States. If you plan on joining the military, please state what Military Branch, and occupation in that branch you would like to have.

I'll never enlist in being in the army/military thing. I don't believe in violence, it's stupid. I sincerely hope my future children don't either. I mean, you're treated like everyone else, but I would rather be treated as an individual, thanks.

My fiances father is a recruiter for the marines. Hes tried to recruit me but I wont. Although iv done alot of PT (physical training) with him and his recruits.

I don't think I would, but if I had to or ultimately found myself being in one branch, it would probably be the Coast Guard.

I want to. Right now I feel like it's the only possible future for me. Also, I'd get tough as nails. I want to join the US Navy. Or really, anything but the air force :S

Marines are some as the army i know em all they all do the same with nearly the same training and i always here marines are the best hell no. they couldnt do anything to a navy SEAL or ARMY Special Forces

Basically, no; I wanted to be a Rifleman when I was younger, but my brother joined them and informed me that the negatives, far, far outweigh the positives. Plus, barely over two grand a month is no where near the amount of work you have put in, I understand a lot of people join for the experience, but the experience of getting shot at, having an extremely vague idea of why you're even killing the people you're shooting at and watching close friends, who almost become brothers during training get blown up doesn't sound nearly as appeasing to me anymore. So yeah, basically family experience is what lead to my wanting to join the military being killed. My dad was in the foreign legion too, so he didn't want me to join either; he said the infantry are basically just a higher class of cannon fodder than what he was; but I do realize both of their views on me joining are kind of biased.

I don't know why everyone thinks the military is all war. you do know that they also rescue people from disaster zones, help make sure that aid is delivered to people who need it, all that sort of stuff? anyway, i don't know if i would join or not. i haven't really decided what i want to do, but sometimes i think about joining the Navy. I really suck at any kind of mathematical stuff so there's probably not many jobs i could do there though. My friend is in the Air Cadets so i'm thinking about joining that. you can get qualifications through that, which i kind of need after fucking up at school. Plus you get to fly planes and shoot stuff, which is good.

Comparing the branches of the military is like arguing over whether a carpenter, electrician, plumber, or stonemason is more important to construction than the others. They're all construction workers.

I will probably go in the Navy as a Corpsman. Professional Russian has no idea what he's talking about and is going to get his ass handed to him in basic.

For the record, I don't give a damn about serving my country, you don't have to be a service member to do that, the economy is just as important. All I care about is supporting those who are in the service, and nothing else.

I, personally am not. my boyfriend is though. He will be in the DEP ( Delayed Entry Program) For the USMC this July, then he will, after all his training and such, be a Sniper in Infantry. That his been his chosen path of work since he was, as he says, the age of two.

you need to fucking understand just becaue im bigger than most people doesnt mean shit. If you dont know if you dont know the work i do i would suggest shutting the fuck up. you probably couldnt do 1 of what i do almost every fucking day. I do alot more tha the average 15 year old and that i can easily prove. I dont read about fire arms online i learn about them by useing them. I have had to do some research online but i didnt learn everything i know from the internet. and another thing. My dads sister was a DI i listen to her every time she comes over and trust me shes a total bitch and doesnt care about anybody. And its not only the terrorists i want killed. "Anbody who isnt with us is against us"~G.W. And if your against the US, Trust me you dont want to be against the US. Aside from that though Stop saying shit about me.
