I think it means youre never interested in sex for your whole life.

It pretty much means you aren't attracted to anyone sexually, not being interested in sex, it can probably be described as not having a sexuality.Sometimes it's called nonsexuality.

I think its more than just an absence of the being sexually attracted to people. I would imagine it like someone being gay when they are around the opposite gender and straight when they're not, theres no emotional interest. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Asexuality is a lack of sexual attraction, and in some cases, a lack of sexual desire. Personally, I experience romantic attraction (or the "emotional interest" you mention) towards people of all genders. That varies, though. Some people are aromantic which means they do not experience romantic attraction or desire romantic relationships.
