I'm sure that anyone who has scars from SI can relate to this question.
In my particular case, the scarring is pretty horrible. My arms look like a damn zebra. I cut VERY VERY seldom now; in fact, the worst of my scars were made over a year ago. Now, I am trying to socialize very hard. I'm trying to make new friends, and am even trying to get a boy/girlfriend (I'm bi). But some day soon, the people I'm getting close to are gonna start wondering why I'm wearing long sleeves/gloves in ninety degree weather. I'm not sure wat to say!!!
I could be honest, but I'm already kinda weird. I don't wanna scare them off; it's hard enough for me to befriend people to begin with. What can I say???
It's not like I can just say I was attacked by a drunken ninja, who kept missing cutting my throat because I was holding my arms up :P
(I mean, duuuuh!!!! I could easily bring down any ninja with my legs and arms amputated and a blindfold on :P)
