No, iOS 6 is a major disappointment. There aren't any really new things that weren't seen in iOS 5 or 5.1

Beta testing is for fixing these mistakes to the developer, so of course these things will happen, you're supposed to tell them about it for testing. Anyway, with Apple, I'll wait until the software is fully completed. It doesn't seem to be much different from iOS 5 and I can wait, so there's no reason for me to test it. I'm surprised though, usually when apple release updates to iOS, they are supposed to have features that help INCREASE battery life, not decrease it!

I'm not looking for this beta to be my main OS, I just wanted to test it out in a period of time, then restore back to iOS 5.1.1

Lol. Betas are usually very stable and ready for general testing. But yeah, I also didn't know that Apple did public Betas. Well except for Siri that was released as a beta.

Yeah, it's pretty steady, but I do have some crashes and bugs now and then.

I'm an Apple guy, I got my UDID registered last summer for late iOS 5 betas and have been on every one since.
My iPhone 4S and third-gen iPad both get great performance and no lag on 6.0, except in the new Maps app where there is some lag. The beta really is near final IMO, everything works great.
I found that this was unnecessary, since I could just press ALT + Search for updates in iTunes and select the iOS 6 file. But I did consider the idea, since you could just install new betas. I had my 3GS registered. Don't you experience crashes at all?
