NOTE: When I say tics, I don't mean the blood-sucking insect.

Over the last couple of months, I've been occasionally experiencing various motor "tics", which means that spontaneously, my hands will clench, or my head will jerk to one side, or basically, some muscle will flex somewhere. This happens very suddenly, and while I can prevent it, it takes more concentration to do so. They mostly happen when I'm feeling negative towards myself, or guilty about something, and they... almost help relieve those feelings, but I'm not doing it on purpose. It's not a big thing in my life, but I was wondering if anyone else has this, and what they do about it. Thanks!

Having spontaneous tics is reasonably common and will probably go away on its own. They are not harmful and generally don't require and treatment unless they cause problems in your life. It is also normal that they are associated with negative feelings and can help relieve them. It is likely that they will go away in a few months. If, however, they get worse or start causing any problems in your life, you should go see your doctor, who will be able to treat them. If you have any questions about them, you should also probably see your doctor.
