When Stewie talks, does anyone else realize he can talk other than Brian?

I noticed when Stewie talks, no one replies to him other than Brian. Also, if you have/haven't noticed it, say you have/haven't noticed it.

Brian and characters that are not part of the direct main can hear him. So someone like Lois or Quagmire wouldn't be able to, but someone like Mayor West would. I think there was an explanation on one of the episodes. There are sometimes where he is heard by others too, though.

I've realized this for a while, but in one episode stewie said something, and Lois was like "Stewies right Peter, blah blah blah". So I don't know.

I've noticed this for a while. But sometimes its like they only understand part of what hes saying, or just ignore him. They once pointed it out in an episode when this guy was asking "so does the family understand the baby?"

Yeah they said something about this in the one episode where Peter created Petroria. I think Brian is the only one in the family who can understand and converse with Stewie. But I'm pretty sure other people outside of the family understand him.

I think it's just outside cast and Brian (so for example Connie, Mayor West or Bruce could hear him but not Meg or Peter), although there are timesthat the family seem to know what he's saying so I'm confused tbqh!

Laois does. but only sometimes. i find it quite funny that she only notices when he is saying "mum" "mummy" "mother" or "laois"

yea its like only Brian understands what hes saying ..i guess thats why stewie only has conversations with Brian.. sometimes with other babies :P

My verdict is that everyone can understand what he is saying, but they tend to just blank out half of what he says. Lois, on the other hand, seems to get 'the gist' of what he is saying, then she converts it to baby words in her head.

Chris understands what he says - (to Stewie) "Didn't make that joke the other day?"

Meg too; "Oh my god, Stewie, Shut up, God you're so annoying"

Stewie to Lois; "Ever since she tried pot she just sits there. Ooh now I think I'm getting a contact high!-Oh wait"

Stewie to Lois again; "I love you Lois"
Lois: "Mommy loves you sweetheart"

Stewie to Peter: "I misjudged you fat man."

It seems that in the episodes 'Stewie Kills Lois' and 'Lois Kills Stewie', they seem to understand Stewie entirely, even Stan from American Dad can understand him;

Stewie (to Stan): "I'd drop the gun if I were you, Paul!"
Stan: "What? It's Stan."

Never really noticed this at all, I guess I will have to go watch more Family Guy to check again. But I do recall (at least once) that Stewie is heard by the other family members but maybe thats just my sucky memory...

Only Brian can understand him, and other random people who have nothing to do with anything. But some random times, Peter or Meg or someone might be able to understand some stuff.

I've never noticed, but now you say, I can't remember anyone but Brian ever speaking to him. It's weird that I never noticed this before, as I watch Family Guy a lot!
