Since I'm from the south of the us, not many people are of with gay/bi sexual people at all.... :( so it makes making friends that are also bi or gay very hard. Id like to make some new friends here too hopefully:) preferably nobody over the age of 20 though because I'm not really into older guys lol. :D

Don't worry mate, I know what you mean. I'm waiting until at least I go to college before I fully come out, one person knows now. :)

I know how you feel, it is difficult to come out when you feel like there is so much prejudice, but times are changing and it is getting better so keep you head high and stay strong.

I know how you feel, completely!

Where I live, I wouldn't say that being Gay/Bi isn't socially accepted it is but there are those few who are still so backward but it is accepted more than in other areas where there is a lot of hate crime.

I find it difficult to come out as I feel that it's going to make a number of people disappointed. I made the decision in my senior years at school that I was going to wait until university when I am in a completely different setting before telling anyone. At least there I can start again without anyone knowing me and can make new friends.

Is this an option for you? You could re-locate to a new area/state etc...

Homophobia runs rampant down here is the south! It's not everywhere and there are a lot of people who are accepting! But there are still some very backwards people stuck in their ways!

I don't live in the south but I'm bi and can understand what you mean.
My parents are total homophobes.
It's annoying since I'm so open to basicly everything.

I guess I am straight but at 15 anything can happen. I think it a shame we just cannot all be open with how we are and I knew some gay guys when I lived in France - they had to hide it there as well

I guess I have it lucky then. I'm bi, I'm in a place where I'd get accepted and not bullied, but I'm just too scared to come out properly :/

You r SO right Grant. Prejudice levels in the south against bisexuals/gays/lesbians r extremely high... I liv in Alabama & prejudice levels against gays alone r over 80%(Thanx Google lolz) & I can't even come out 2 my own family becuz it scares me so bad... Life is hard 4 people like yourself, others, & even me. I'm ALWAYS here 4 ya & many others r 2.
