Can I tell the doctor

The other day I was in for my physical, everything went fine and I wanted to ask the doctor if he could look at my public hair to see if it was coming in normally, is the doctor required to keep this secret or does he tell my mom

You have no need to worry about this. It will come in time, so I don't even think you need to ask him. It will most likely be awkward for you, and I think you'll regret it later.

From where I'm from, doctors supposedly keep everything confidential unless such information endangers yourself or others. I don't know what your doctor will do--I don't know him or her.
