2 months ago I went to my best mates birthday party I had a bit to drink and it was overall a great night. after a lot of drink and partying, at about 2am I decided to walk home on my own my friend did offer to walk with me but I said no as his house is in the opposite direction. Anyway the walk takes about 30 mins so its not to long so I thought i woyld be fine as three quarters of the walk is by the main road and quarter is through dat alley ways. These dark alley ways ws where it all happened I was walking down then when a man from behind me just pushed me to the floor and started swearing at me and threatening that he has a knife on him. He then in zipped my fly and forced of my boxers i tried stopping him over and over but he kept threatening me saying "I have a knife" repeatidly all I could do was just lie there while this man started to rape me I was stupid enough to let him do this to me! This all lasted about 20 mins until finally he stopped. Im gay is this why I let him do this to me or was it because he had a knife? I keep asking myself , I havw not yet told anyone and I dont know what to do!

yeah cuz he hd a knife and you were scared because your life was at risk. im sorry to also say that this may cause trauma later on in your life when you do find a mate for yourself because trust may be a problem for you. have you told anybody like your parents or close friend? if not i highly advise it. sorry this happened man :(

your not stupid. you were half drunk and up against a crazy guy with a knife. even if you weren't drunk, even if he didn't have a knife you just don't know how you would have reacted. i think everyone thinks they know how they would react if it happened to them, but you can't really know till your actually in the situation.

even if you don't want to tell anyone, at least go to a doctor or clinic or something to get checked out.

Your sexualaltiy makes no difference, you didnt let him do it to you, he scared you, i know this feeling all too well. He told you he had a knife for the sole reason of force. You really must tell someone otherwise it eats you alive, you cannot re live it all in your head over and over and blame yourself because it wasnt your fault. Sadly there are horrible people out there that do it for no explainable motive.

I said it was Physically abused and not rape because the term rape falls only to those with feminine and child section. But then again, being in your shoes, it wasn't easy to have it as an experience since it was abusive, creepy feeling that would be.
