I noticed some members have these points in the smiley face that appears every time they post something, along with a plus sign and somthin like 'super poster'. Just wondering what these are, if theres anything you can do the more points you have, and how you get them. Also what Rep is and how you get it.

The text and smiley face based image you see is a post count based rank. The more you post, it begins to change.
100, 250, 500, 1000, 2500, 5000, 10000.
Rep is given to you from other members who find your posts helpful, a quick search can reveal more about this.

The faces and numbers are basically just telling you about how many posts the user has. i think they change every 500 posts and rep is given to a user that has a good post or has something in the post that someone likes. But nobody really cares about rep

The numbers, as said above is how many posts the user has, you get a different face/number at 25, 50, 100, 250, 500, 1000, 2500, 5000, 10000 if I remember correctly. The names like "awesome poster" and "super poster" is your title, you get a set one until you reach 2500 posts then you can create a custom title.
Rep is given to you by other members of the community by pressing the white scales on the left by your name/information. They can give either negative or positive rep (positive comes up green, negative rep and neutral rep is a blueish-grey colour)for posts or blogs and such that people might consider good or bad, and rep doesn't mean anything in the community, it won't make you any more liked/disliked but if you have a whole bar of red rep you have to figure that you're doing something wrong.

Use the memberlist and you'll notice members with 250 posts have Member+, the same as those with 200. It changes at 300 posts.

I have not gotten any rep. I get kinda jealous when I see people with TONS of it.

Rep means next to nothing.
As with the system, you could get a large sum of rep just because someone with a large pool of rep gave it to you. Don't mind having a lack of green boxes that mean next to nothing. Your words will prove how reputable you are, not some number.

Don't. It's a meaningless popularity bar. I don't give a shit about it, and I doubt many others here do to, because if your post was truly helpful (what the rep system -should- be used for) then you should know yourself.
