I've gone 59 days since a cut... but I don't know if I'll make it through tonight. I just learned my cat died recently. We were forced to give her away when we moved because our landlord didn't like cats. I hadn't seen her since.

And now she's dead.

It's only been a year. She was only like 10 years old, maybe even younger. I don't know how she died. But I'm so depressed about it. I haven't cried so hard in years. And now I feel like I NEED to cut...

Megan, I don't condone cutting at all, but relapsing is part of the quitting process. This is obviously a very, very difficult time for you and I am sorry for your loss. You've made it so far, surely you can keep going. And if you can't, remember that it is okay to relapse. Don't beat yourself up about it.
