Not really, saliva is composed of 98% water[1], so your skin will absorb most of it. You could consider it a lubricant, but a very bad one. K-Y-Jelly and other lubricants that are water based and safe with condoms have certain chemicals that make them harder to be absorbed by skin, so they make better lubricants.
