Something wrong with me...

I'm not sure if anyone else has encountered this same problem, but I'd like to share it regardless. Lately, I've been getting rather sad due to people telling me all the things they don't like about me. For example, I got called annoying/clingy just yesterday. Not by one person, but two at the same time. Both of which were close friends of mine. Because of this, They actually wanted to cut off our friendship. Could anyone help me with this? I mean, I know that nobody will ever be perfect, but I want to be the best I can. Not just for myself, but for everyone I know. I don't want people treating me this way or calling me these things anymore.

Eh, I've been there. People can be cruel sometimes, especially young people. I don't really know about the clingy or annoying thing, but just someone calls you something, doesn't mean it's true.

Nobody rivals children when it comes to mindless cruelty. Not even Hitler. Yes, it sucks, but maybe you could spin that criticism into a positive and try to improve yourself instead of letting it all get you down. Chin up!

I can't argue with your comment about mindless cruelty. It really is true. Normally, I don't waste my time being sad or anything like that. It's just a bit different because the people who said these things to me are people that are really important to me.

We've all been there at some point. Keep your head up. A lot of people tend to say things that at cruel to others to hide their own insecurity. Stay positive!
