I really want to get into Photography...the actual taking of the pictures part. I have been editing for about a year now. Some of them that I have taken, but not most. So I'd like to get into it, because I really like pictures. But I need a cheapish camera that is good to start out with. Any opinions?

Canon's Rebel series seem to be pretty good, and they're on the lower end of the price spectrum for DSLR's...I'd check those out.

Bud, even though they are cheaper, mine costed almost $700. :P
If you have a iTouch 4G, or an iPhone 4S, both actually have quite good cameras. Or, if you have a bit more money (like $200-$300), I'd go with a Canon Point-and-shoot camera. Some of their models are almost comparable to some of their SLR cameras.
Happy hunting, and make sure to post your photography here when you get the chance for us to enjoy. :).

Cameron, what exactly are you looking for? How much are you willing to spend? There are two main types of cameras; point and shoots and DSLRs (there are also advanced P&S/bridge cameras that are in between the two).
A point and shoot is your average digital camera- just point it at something and click the button. Point and shoots are small and compact and usually you are limited to what settings you can control.
A DSLR is a digital single lens reflex camera (that's quite a mouthful...) but in short, it is a camera with interchangeable lens. There is a mode where the camera can choose the settings for you, but also modes that give you manual control to almost everything.
If you are really serious about photography, I would recommend you get an entry level DSLR or even look for a higher-end DSLR that you could get on the used market for pretty cheap. If not, a decent point and shoot camera for everyday use will do it for you.

Cameron, I'd recommend you to start with the non-reflex cameras. You know, like the Olympus Pen and the Sony Nex. They are not as expensive as DSLRs but they can do exactly what DSLR can do. I start photography using the Olympus Pen Epl1.

What's your budget?
Both Canon and Nikon have some great DSLR's for beginners!
From the top of my head, I'd suggest that you take a look at the Canon T2i, the Canon T3i (almost the same as the T2i), the Canon 60D (what I own), the Nikon D3100, the Nikon D3200 and the Nikon D5100.
