so lately i have wanted to try burning, but still cut. i tried it today and i left a flat mark on my figure from bumping the hot metal. It hurt but i still want to keep doing it.
What do you think, should i stop ?
Does anyone else burn?
edit: If so, How could you take the burning?

I burnt my neck with a car lighter ONCE. They are ugly scars and for some people they hurt. So I think you should stop. You really should stop harming yourself overall. It's hard. But you should try.

Well yes, of course you should stop. It's similar to cutting. In the beginning, it feels like it's in your control, but soon after, it becomes obvious it's an addiction. Not to mention all of the very dangerous health risks which come along with it.

Very true. You can become addicted to burning just as much as you can cutting. I would stay stop while you can, there are so many precautions you would have to take to make sure you don't get infected or anything and if you're cutting as well then it's even more to look after. No one here will tell you "Sure, go ahead, it's great" because whilst one, that's a lie, it will just become another problem to add to the list. Two we are a community set to help people get better and recover, not build on the addictions people are already struggling with so looking for consent or advice on whether you should start the answer would be no.
I'm sorry if that was a little harsh, you're stronger than to start burning. You don't need it, it might feel as though it will help, at first it might do but the end result, when it all boils down to it, will be that it will do more bad than good and I know that might seem like the intent but really it's not worth adding it in my opinion.

You really shouldn't burn, there's always another way and the scars will be with you forever

Yeah, i've done it to my arm a lot, and you really don't want to continue. The marks never go away, and they hurt a lot while they heal, plus your shirt will stick to them a lot, which is gross :D So do not do it, lol.

I burned my arm with a hair curler. The scar heals really weird, there are lots of bumps on it and it's just ugly and it hurts. Mine still didn't go away. I've tried it twice and it's not as good to be honest.
