Hi, recently my school went back after the half term holidays, Monday to be exact, it is now Wednesday when im posting and I still haven't been into school. I wont tell my parents or my siblings the reason why because im not good at talking to family members, I just say I don't feel well or im tired but I don't want to tell them the real reason. That's why I came here, for a solution or advice, but the reason I don't want to go in is because I feel that I have no friends, well I have a few but I feel most of them will talk about me when Im not there, I get really paranoid when I overhear them talking. Im not on the skinny side, in fact Im practically obese, I don't like it, but I don't have the motivation to do something about it, I've tried thinking if I slim down I can get a girlfriend but it just doesn't work, if anyone has anything that can help me go back to school and lose weight, please share
Thanks,
Heidenreich

If you feel those friends are like that, then don't involve your self too much with them. There will be days when they will talk about you if they do, best to do is ignore them. But it won't be all the time that people at school will talk about you so don't think so much about if they are or not. Towards the end of the day, you won't be seeing these people in your life in a few years and all that stuff that happened won't matter as much when you're not around them anymore. But, if you want to lose weight, change up your eating habits and do some exercise. Eat healthy as exercising won't be as effective if you eat junk food or anything of that sort. As of school though, I think you should go. There will be times in life where you go through some sort of a hardship and most of the time, you can't do much about it. In this case, people making fun of you, or your friends talking about you if they're doing it. You should go out and find some new friends if you have this feeling about the ones you have now. And if not at school, it's nice to meet someone from here that you can talk to and befriend them if you want to. So, I'm here if you want to talk or just need advice and as well many other people on VT here so don't be shy. Hope this helped at most :) Good luck buddy :D

You have to want it. That's the only advice anyone will give you. If you don't want to, then you won't and nothing will ever change.
You have to be in school to make friends. Just casually sit down, and start talking to people. Don't be paranoid about them. I'm pretty sure you've (all of us, for that matter) have spoken behind someone else's back before, and there isn't much anyone can really do except to be mature, and leave the conversation. But don't stress about things that you really cannot control.
As for losing weight, once again, you have to actually want to. Doing something you hate will only make you want to stop trying faster. If you do lose weight, sure, there could be a better possibility for you to have a girlfriend. Go for a jog once a day. Think to yourself, "Is this what I really should be eating?" before you have something. One of the most helpful and rewarding things to do though is to catch yourself from eating when you really aren't hungry, but rather, just for the sake of it.
To sum up, if you try hard enough, and actually put effort into something, it can happen. But you have to take that first step.

I don't see a problem with your figure. I'd hang out with you if I could. Honestly, I don't think people talking about you is something to get worried about. Yah, I worry about it too, but I'd be exhausted if I constantly worry about tripping when I walk. or such.
My advice is try to look ahead. Try to overlook those things.

the best motivation is the thought that
if you don't go to school, you won't get education
that you need for your further life
to work, to be successful
to earn money, to be independent and be able to afford the living
friends won't help you with your entire life. it's completely your duty.
