So I've been around VT for nearly 9 months now (that fast?). I was wondering, why is The White Padded Room for members only? I thought about it a little here and there before, but I never got around to asking. It probably should be obvious, but I'm a little stupified here so.. Thanks.

Things that are posted there are inappropriate for guests to see. Like the photo album for instance.

It was created as a place to rant and it's where people post when it doesn't fit onto the other sections of vt - basically a place to unstress.

Also it can be used for personal things seeing as the threads posted there don't show up if you search them on google but like Siobhan said, it's mostly a place to put things that don't fit anywhere else.

However if it was souly to create for people to rant, why would it be hidden?

To be honest the first answer to me made more sense than the one you gave, simply because if it was just ranting and miscellaneous posting it would not need to be hidden.

I mean ranting was why it was created but ranting and random posting is would surely not warrant it being hidden.

I always thought it was for the safety of those who posted photos up form themselves.

If you read the announcement it actually says it's to relieve stress.

This is a forum to hang out and relieve stress. Talk about your day or just whatever's bugging you! You know, basically anything (besides spam).

Sometimes people don't want things showing up on Google search results, and that's understandable. If people are having a private issues or want to rant a little within just the VT community, then that is the place to go. It's meant to be a community hub that is secured within VirtualTeen.

Kiros (Ben) made it a members only part of the forum because of the information such as pictures and personal issues in there. I'm sure many a new member registered to see what was behind that wall and left because it wasn't anything interesting.
