Ok so about 2 months ago I told my bestfriend(who was straight) that I really liked him and sadly he didn't feel the same way and it didn't necessarily ruin our friendship. We still hangout sometimes but were not as close anymore.. I had liked him for a while and decided it was time to take a chance. Even though he didn't feel the same way I'm glad I told him because now I don't have to hide it from him anymore.

Well, I confessed my love to someone and things worked out really great; we're almost at our 8 month anniversary. I knew he was straight though, or else I never would have. So even though it worked for me, I wouldn't recommend it. You can't change your sexual preference-if you like females, you like females. The end. If you suspect he may be gay or bi, I suppose taking the chance may be worth it. But opening your heart like that and risking the loss (or just distance) of a really good friend doesn't seem worth it. You're about to enter high school. There's no rush to get a boyfriend. It may seem a little harsh but you will fall in love again, and you will be able to move your love for him to another guy who is able to reciprocate.
Good luck

I have the same kind of problem, but a little different...
I have a friend who a few friends and I think is bisexual..but he won't say anything... I think he's so cute, sweet, funny, and nice. He moved but I started talking with him a few days ago and I kinda like him. Since he moved before I 'came out' in school. He doesn't know I am bisexual. I want to tell him.. but I'm afraid i'll lose a friend. So, DANNY we have similar problems /:
