Awkward Dates

So I have a problem. I REALLY want a boyfriend and all, and there's some guys interested and we always talk about hanging out ( over text ) and meeting or whatever, like if they don't live near me, and I always get nervous before the date and chicken out. Like I know it's going to be awkward and I just don't want to be awkward, idk I'm just scared. But I really want a boyfriend. How do I make it less awkward or something on a date?

What I think works for people is like be confident that it will all go well and try not to have doubts that's what I've heard

group date if you have mutual friends. If ya don't, don't make it much of a date as it is something for you to do. If ya wanna get to know them, go get coffee somewhere. During the day seems less date-like to me.

Or go do something together that you'd both want to do anyway. Shoot some hoops, tennis, ping pong, idk, whatever it is you like to do already or something new.

If you're both honest about what you like you'll have an okay time. So for me if a girl says lets go to the mall. I'll say no because I don't like the mall.....ever. Now if I was already dating her and she wanted to go, I'd go, but early on, do things you'd like to do so you aren't bored and then overly focused on the date aspect of it.
