*NOTICE : THIS IS A SERIOUS POST, ALL IMMATURE POSTS WILL BE FLAGGED AND I WILL REPORT YOU TO AN ADMIN*
Basicly for about 3 Weeks to a Month I have been having constant diarrhea. I'd say about 5-8 times every 24 hours.
At first I thought maybe I just had an upset stomach but it continued. I took some "anti-diarrhea" pills (I forget the name of the pill but if I remember I will post it here) and I worked with stopping it for 2 days. After 2 days I got it again, this time with a little blood in it. I'm too afraid to take more since I think it will make it worse but I'm too embarassed to go to a doctor about this unless its really serious. Thats why I'm here.
What could be some causes of this? What are some ways to prevent it?
Please and Thank You All! -kb

To be honnest, there are a lot of things it could be, from your stomach, through your intestines....
You may have Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), or at may have something to do with your diet.
Consult with your doctor, discuss the possible issues. I recommend asking for a gastroscopy or endoscopy to further investiagate the issue. It is a normal procedure where a camera is inserted in the throat or rectum respectively to investigate the issue.
Certain medications such as panteloc or ranitadine may help, but again, it's completely dependant on what is causing the issue
Look at your diet and enssure you are getting enough fruits and veggetables, as this will help a lot. Also eating things like cheese and bread may help.
I wish you the best of luck. I'm sure this must be very embarassing for you to talk about, but you shouldn't be embarassed. You'll get sorted :)

I just had what you are describing for around 2 weeks, wasn't pretty and took a little too many of those pills. What I am going to say now is very important. KEEP HYDRATED. Doesnt matter if you don't feel like it, force yourself to sip, get some rehydration powders or tablets to dissolve in water - they help. Failure to stay hydrated could result in hospitalisation, and you may need to go on a IV drip, you loose a lot of fluids when your on the toilet all the time. Trust me, been there. Something which helped slow my diarrhoea was black tea. No milk. It worked wonders. Stay away from ALL dairy products. Eat dry toast, mashed potato, rice, breads etc.
Go to the doctor, get tests done. I did, they took my Blood Pressure, thats it - they don't strip you naked and examine you. You may have to give a stool sample for testing. Thats no biggie.
As for causes, I had 3 doctors (know a lot of them) stumped as to why I had it for so long, they think it was something I ate (Take away), however there is alot of bugs and virus' around at the moment, with half my school sick - so it may be a bug, it could require antibiotics if its bacterial. A little blood is expected, I had some as well, as long as its not every time you go or large amounts don't stress.
Bud, you are 14, becoming a adult, go and see a doctor - they have seen everything and then some. Nothing you say or have will surprise them. There's nothing to be embarrassed about, and what you have is serious. Get it checked, stay hydrated.

You should see a doctor. I know it's embarrassing, but this could be something serious and you won't know until you go and get it checked out. Try to follow the dietary guidelines posted by Josiah7, he's pretty knowledgeable about that stuff. Get better soon!

I would try eating foods that are high in fiber. Something like whole wheat bread or brown rice. From what I read, foods like that help bulk up your poop.

Tell your mom about it and go to the doctor, okay?

I have to agree with all of the listed above, I would schedule an appointment ASAP...
The thing about Diarrhea is it could be potentially deadly, you loose so much water and your hydration factors droops, you need to make sure you are hydrated and you need to see your GP, people have literally died from shitting themselves, it is possible.

In all seriousness, see a medical professional. This is not good. You may be embarrassed, but doctors are healers--they have seen almost everything in the process of healing.
