Okay so I'm gonna have surgery next week on June 20th and I'm gonna be a outpatient. So my question is when will I be able to leave after my surgery? Like 2 or 3 hours after it's done ect!

it depends on the surgery.

In Canada, if you are put under for surgery, they normally wish to hold you for 24 hours. Depending on the severity and your progress, they may release you early.

You will be an outpatient for a matter of weeks/months to follow up to ensure no problems arise from the recent opperation.

Hope this helps :)

i had surgery at an outpatient surgery center. They only wanted to keep me for a couple hours but i ended up there for 3 hours because the general anesthesia made me really nauseous. Wish you luck on the surgery! I bet you are pretty scared but you will be fine.

It will probably be a minimum of three hours before you're released, but it all depends on the surgery you are receiving.

Depends on what you had done, and how you react to coming out of the anaesthesia and medications.

Really depends on the case and the time of day, if its in the morning and is a Day Surgery you will most likely go home that day (really depends on the case).

I had surgery back in 08 Went in at about 11:30 got out at around 1 and was out of the hospital by 3 or so.
