I just had what I think was a nervous breakdown, I was talking to someone I like, and we started talking about stuff that makes me upset which I don't wanna bring up. I then had a panic attack over it. Am I going to be okay?

You may want to see a psychiatrist and find out if you have Anxiety Disorder or something. You will be okay, but panic attacks are awful and going to a doctor will reduce the chance of this happening again.

Hey Jason, sorry to hear, its completely normal to feel periods of sudden sadness or nerves, its only a problem when they happen on a frequent basis. If it is only the first time, shouldn't be a problem, just avoid whatever made you feel down. If it gets really bad or happens alot, then talk to your GP, but bud you will be fine.

When you do have one, just try to remove yourself to somewhere better, go for a walk, play some music, go for a run etc. If you want to talk just let me know :)

If you feel at risk to yourself or anyone else, I suggest going to a hospital.

Mental breakdowns can be healthy in a way as you are releasing stressors that have built up over time. You may wish to find a more constructive way to let out these stressors as they hit you so you don't have to deal with them all at once.

As for the anxiety attack, you should discuss this with your family doctor, as it may be an indicator of anxiety disorder. There may be other under-lying issues that I'm not aware of given the lack of information.

if you EVER feel like it's more than you can handle, surround yourself with people who will support you, and if nessecery, go to a hospital.

Good luck

I have frequent anxiety attacks due to various reasoning. Whilst you should consider seeing a doctor about this in case there is an underlying health issue.

But temporarily you should consider some techniques to calm you down, first where possible remove yourself from potential triggers for an attack, when you feel one coming on have some coming techniques to use. I shake a lot so tend to sit on my hands and put my feet flat on the floor. I do deep breathing techniques by drawing breath for 5 seconds holding it for five seconds and letting it go for five seconds. There are various other ones you'll be able to pick up as you learn what calms you.
