levels

here in wales the leveling system is a bit all over i was wondering if some1 could explain it to me or is the same way about them

(1 thing i do get is that the letters are the levels in gcse and the numbers are my level now)

this is how it works in science

7=A
6=B
5=C
4=D

when in maths its like this

8=B
7=C
6=D

y is this??
