I'm going into hight school next year, and starting sports. I'm scared to take a shower with all the guys beacuse I might get a boner. Should I be scared?

I showered in a lot of gym classes and swimming and never saw a boner. I think some guys get semi-hard, but it just looks like the are show-ers. I never got a boner, instead I think mine shrunk when I was in a situation where I would be naked with other people and I always wished I had a semi so I would look bigger.

Just finished my freshman year and I have to say I was freaked about it going into school last year, but its really no big deal....it happens to a lot of guys and no one really notices most of the time. There are some jerks yes, but ignore them they are just immature. The more you worry about it the more likely it is to happen

Keep your mind off the erection. Don't try to think about suppressing the erection as that will cause it to harden even more.

Just don't look and call out anyone who calls attention to you. If they say you have a boner, ask them Why they're looking and that can shut up people pretty quickly.

don't be too worried. its something that most of us have to face in our lifetimes. we are all guys, we all have the same thing going on. i won't lie and say that it won't be terribly uncomfortable and that you won't just prefer to die, but it IS something that you will be able to get used to. Just get in there, strip off (quickly--that's the hardest part and you just gotta do it fast and get it over with) and do your business, get clean and dress back in. It is something that takes getting used to. Some guys do get a boner, but just don't STARE. If you do get one, don't panic, cuz other guys will be nervous to. In two or three weeks you'll be like, "why was I ever wigging out about this". It will get better. I know from experience.

I was in a simmilar situation last year. At my school, it's a very relaxed environment, with everyone just talking and joking. We all do a little manuever where you cover your junk with one hand, just to make it less awkward. So because of the hand thing, if you think you're getting hard, you just get out of there. It's not near as bad as you think, you'll get used to it after the first few times.

I mean I didn't do a sport where you take showers (dance), but I'm pretty sure all the freshman will be just as nervous as you are, and then upperclassmen won't care because they are use to it, and they know how you are feeling since they had to experience it for the first time too.

At my school, we are only required to shower during the pool times, in the summer. But even then, everyone wears their bathing suits into the shower.

Just focus on what your doing dude, a lot of the times you wont be very horny at all, if you are mainly focused on just changing, you wont be fully naked that long so i don't think you would get a boner.

Don't worry about that, do what I used to do, take a quick shower like washing your hair and all the swetty parts and get out of the shower and leave the rest of the class. Then you get dessed before they arrive and you can have boners if you want when you're dressed.

Don't worry about it. I shower after gym and sorts since 7th grade and never seen a bone. Lots of guys get a little chubby and no one has ever teased anybody obout that. So just enjoy getting clean after you sweat. I don't know why so many guys on here seem to freak out about showering with other guys!

don't worry about the showers. everyone is nervous the first time, and then after a few days it will seem normal to you and you'll wonder why you were nervous in the first place. and doont worry about the boner. you'll be too nervous to get one. in fact a lot of guys have the opposite problem in locker rooms.

Also depends on how the body reacts to the water, when water is warm mine gets shower/semi-hard look

Big gym class of 90-100 guys, everyone showers. Never saw a bone ever, but some are a little chubbed up once in a while. Except for the dude who's locker is right next to mine, every day just as he's getting dressed he's got a least a semi, mabe 3/4 hard. On the last day of gym, he said thanks for not making a big deal about it. I was like what? And ha said you know, you've had to have seen IT. I told him ya I have, you get picked on enough as it is, so Im not gonna make ur life worse cuz you'd get crucified for that. He said he was pretty much terrified every day because it was a race to see if he could strip, shower, dry before he got hard. He already got beat on everyday buy the druggies. It's gotta suck being picked on everyday, getting called fag and getting excited e,very gym class.

I'm going into 9th myself and from what I've been told, just mind your business and get in and get out. Some schools don't even make students take showers after gym, I don't think mine does. So maybe you'll get lucky and not even have to take one.

That sucks. At my school we do not have to take showers. Anyways, I would try to not compare or look at anyone else. Just go along and shower. There will be plenty of people getting erections in the shower. Don't worry.
