View Full Version : Unfair treatment in my house

Seven years ago when my Dad left, I was nine. My 14 year old brother was obnoxious. I followed my dad's wishes (which were basically mine too) and went to boarding school. While I am away my brother has been insinuating himself as the 'man of the house.' every time I come home (once a month) I am pushed around the House by my Bigger little Brother; my mother turns a blind eye to this but as soon as I punch him back everything changes.
I get in trouble.
I am annoyed that my mother is holding a grudge against me for folloing my dads wishes.
I have drafted a letter also, to her that I hope will address the issue at hand , if I ever get the courage to give it to her.
All advice, giving out, encouragement welcome.

Sounds tough. I got sent to boarding school too. I guess I just want to wish you luck with it. I know that when you are away for so long at a time, you kind of tend to move in different directions to your family. I don't have any brothers or sisters, but when I go home, its sometimes like my parents have one set of expectations for me, which seem kind of out-dated or not relevent because of what's been going on at school.

I actually realise I didn't really say anything there, I suppose I just wanted to show my support.
