Okay. So I'm not sure if exactly in thr right area but here goes.....

I lost my virginity when I was 13. I remained in a relationship with that individual for three years, having sex about twice a week.

I didn't pay much attention to the details at that time.... So I'm not sure if my hymen was broken. I didn't even really know about that kind of thing until I was 14.

(Yes, I am completely aware of how stupid it is to have sex until you fully understand the "mechanics" of the reproductive system. I'm not looking for a lecture, and would like to avoid any details about the relationship between myself and him because it was unhealthy and abusive.)

My problem is this: I am now 18 and in the midst of a relationship. We tried having sex, but he..... Doesn't fit all the way inside. I am unsure of why he doesn't fit; he's average sized. I don't know where to find good, clear resources. Any thing I've found is either too technical or too casual. I've seen all kinds of advice..... Use personal lubricant, relax more, don't tense up, etc.

Is it possible that my first partner didn't break my hymen? (He was fairly "small")
Last time I had sex was two years ago..... Could I have simply "tightened up"?
Could this be an indicator of a medical problem? (I've been to an OBGYN BEFORE, and they didn't say I have a problem anatomically; though I do have a hormonal condition called PCOS).

ANY ADVICE AT ALL would be helpful....cuz I can't just go to an OBGYN due to special circumstances)

Peace out babays ; P

~~~~~~EDIT~~~~~~
I suppose by "adult" eyes, I meant "mature" eyes .......... being as I didn't want anyone to come on this post and make comments like "hahahaha she said hymen". I've seriously had things like that happen before; you know, a younger person reads this and don't know what to post, so instead they make a joke out of it and ...........well, you get the picture. Sorry if the title was misleading :)
1) Doesn't matter if he was small, the hymen is easily broken.
2) I don't think it's anything to worry about, with time you'll find a position where he'll fit, it just has to be comfortable.
3) You've tightened up but that shouldn't be a factor, it might just mean it takes more time to loosen up again, just keep trying.
4) PCSO in this context only affects fertility not your actual vagina so I don't see how that could be linked, I might be wrong.
5) If you're really worried go to your doctor, many of us on this forum won't be able to help you, a trained medical professional will know more of what may be wrong with you than a bunch of teenagers on a help site.
First off, please do not post "For adult eyes only" since this is a teen help site and you are going to get teen advice.
It is probably because your vagina walls have not stretched yet. If your hymen is not broken it won't prevent him from going in. Chances are, if you have ever used tampons or had sex before, your hymen was broken long ago. Simply have him understand that he is going to have to push his way in. It is going to hurt a little, I'm sure, but if you want to have full on sex it's going to take the effort simply because your last partner was very small.
I was thinking this too. There shouldn't be that many "adults" on here.
And this is pretty much it. You hymen doesn't have a lot to do with it, and is probably broken anyways. It's going to take some effort to have sex with this new guy, but good luck.
Marissa, is this an issue about your going to your regular OBGYN, or something that prevents you from going, even on your own, to ANY OBGYN? If the former, then I'd say to make an appointment with another one and get your questions answered.
I have PCOS too, and I have the same problem. I was talking to one of my step sisters about it who also has PCOS and she said that one of the things it can cause is a slightly low cervix, and I've heard that elsewhere too, so that could very well be the problem. however I actually have no clue if that's true or not. You may want to do some research on that. It may not even be affected by the PCOS, you might just naturally have a low cervix, it happens.
Your hymen shouldn't have anything to do with it, as it doesn't like fully close you off or anything, he would stretch it, and your ex probably did that anyway.
If the "special circumstances" are money problems or anything like that, you could try going to a free clinic for an exam, they should be able to answer any questions you may have.
the hymen is easily broken , so if you had sex b4 then it is definatly broken.
You are probably very tight and the walls need to open more. Its ok, you are normal and there seems to be nothing wrong your just tight. I had a friend who was so tight I could finger with one finger, But with enough practive she opened up more and more.
You also maybe getting nervous just before penenatration(cant spell) relax
If you're worried then you need to see a doctor. But seriously your body is made to pass a child so a penis will fit no matter how big it is. It might hurt at first but the vagina is made to stretch
