Greasy hair is and always will be a major issue. I Have tried several thibgs. Starting with diets such as including more fruits and vegetables in ny diet, washing my hair with lemon, using dry shampoo. and none of these worked. At the moment I have not washed my hair. yes it is horrible but this is the final thing that i could try. i will tell you the results tomorrow . please let me know anything you tried or that i should try.

-------------------------------------------------------------

The results are marvelous . I havent washed my hair for a week and now its not greasy at all. Ps do not use shampoo for greasy hair use the one for normal hair because the ones for greasy hair will only make it greasier.(using shampoo for greasy scalp will make the skin dry which will make the glands release more grease)

This has nothing to do with puberty.

Last I checked washing your hair, especially with shampoo, helps make your hair less greasy. In fact, I've never heard the theory of not washing to get your hair to not be greasy. So, I highly recommend you wash your hair, and try different shampoos if the current one doesn't help. Also, don't be afraid to use tons of shampoo. I personally use a lot when I shower.

I meant not washing your hair freaquently because your scalp will get used to getting gresier quicker

I used to have greasy hair. I used to wash it every day though, then I cut back to every two days and it seems to have worked, so if that's what you mean, then yes I agree.

Uh...What? You know you're not supposed to wash your hair too frequently right? It will dry your scalp. Which would lead to flakes(dandruff).
I wash my hair once a week, thats cause i'm african american and i have african american hair lol?

It could be greasy cause its just your hair type? Try washing it about 3-5 times a week. Your diet also affect your hair too. So maybe you have a poor diet? IDK

I wash my hair twice a day, once in the morning, once before bed. It's never greasy and I have a perfectly healthy scalp?

How many times do you wash it a day?
I wash my hair every 2 days, and maybe it's because you excersize or sweat a lot or have an oily scalp.

This.

If you stop washing your hair for say two days. Then wash it, it tends to stay less greasy.

However when your a younger teen no matter what you do you will get greasy hair. It is a natural part of puberty.

Some people have to wash their hair every day and others can get away with doing it once a week, it just depends.

You shouldn't wash it too much because eventually it clears all the naturals oils out, they then over produce which makes your hair even more greasy than washing it once a week. I find that washing it every 2-3 days works, and I avoid brushing it too often cause that makes it greasy too.

There has actually been people who don't wash their hair for months and eventually it produces self cleansing oils that make your hair not greasy... but thats after going through months of disgusting greasy hair- so I wouldn't advise it. :D

If you want your hair to still have that shiny look but soft non greasy touch. Wash your hair every 2-3 days with a Sulphate free shampoo. If a shampoo lathers, that's a sign that it's stripping your hair of all it's natural oils that make it look good. Washing your hair everyday (any more than that is a stupid idea) causes your hairs natural oils to be taken away as well as your scalp might start to dry and then you get dandruff.

That's just how your glands were working, I'm happy you figured out how to fix it. I can only wash my hair 1-2 times a week or else my scalp will get dry and my hair turn brittle.
