so after 3 months without cutting and being able to function without thinking about self harm I cut again... tomorrow is my high schools graduation and because of my self harm problems I failed and am not allowed to graduate... I really need to stop but I don't know how...

they won't let you graduate? Wait, did you fail your classes or fail not cutting You made it three months that is so good! Do you know what triggered you into cutting again? The best way I find to stop is to 1) get help & 2) talk to people that have or do self harm, like here on VT. This is a great place that has given me a lot of support. If you ever want to talk VM or PM me.

First of all congratulations on making it 3 months! 90 days is a massive achievement and you shouldn't let that be passed by just because you relapsed. It's okay that you have, what's important now is that you pick yourself back up and start the day count again, don't let it drag you back down. Like asked above, was there a specific trigger that made you cut today? If you find out what triggers you then you can try to avoid them as best you can and whilst hopefully minimizing the triggers you get.
It's great that you're so intent on stopping as well, that's always the first step to recovery, realising that there is something wrong and wanting to do something about it. Talk yo someone, make yourself heard and let them know what you're feeling, just letting it out can be a massive weight off your shoulders. Do you have a close friend or family member that you can talk to and that is supportive of you? A school guidance counselor could also be an option. Also make sure you have distractions for example exercise, music, writing, cooking, anything that you enjoy that could take your mind off the urges. Have you heard of the butterfly project (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/showpost.php?p=1673818&postcount=1) before? If not then I suggest you take a look because many people have found it beneficial when trying to stop.
Good luck with everything and if you ever need to rant, vent or just support then VT is here to fall back on. :)

I guess both. I guess going back to talk to the counselor at my school set it off because she refused to help me by changing the class that I failed before things started.. my English teacher is an insensitive prick and basically made fun of me when I would leave the room because he found out that I cut. he refused to give me a fair grade because he is a bad teacher.

aww, I'm sorry to hear that. He hard no right to make fun of you because of that, cutting is really serious. But things will get better, I know right now things don't look so great but they will get better.
