The only thing is i would feel guilty about leaving the job im in now. Its a small business and id feel like i was betraying my boss. what do you guys think? have any of you ever felt guilty about changing jobs.

(Forenote: I have not been in any jobs yet, therefore what I'm telling you may not make sense [to you])

You need to do what makes you the happiest. Sit down and think about it for a while: do you like dogs or the small business better? Where would you feel like you were the most productive. If that means staying where you are now, then do that. If you feel like you would be betraying your boss, then stick to your current position for a while longer until things slow down more. For example, if you are working at a small supermarket that just recently opened, wait a month or two until things are running smoothly. Then, think about switching to your other preferred job.
Of course, if you have personal relations with your boss, then it may seem awkward at first, but if your boss is rational, he will understand in time.

Good luck! :)

You've got to do what's best for you, and I'm sure that your current employer will understand that, especially since you're only 15. He should understand that you're just trying to get experience in a field that you're interested in making a career out of. It won't be too hard for them to find someone to fill your spot I'm sure, especially since so many people are looking for jobs these days. I wouldn't feel guilty about it, bud. Good luck with all.

You have to do what is right for YOU. Not your boss. Be sure to give them at least two weeks notice in order to not burn any bridges when you do leave. Explain to your current boss why you want to leave, they will understand. Your future is very important and if a new job will help assist in that future, than you'll have to do what you must. They'll understand.
