I hate it when people use stereotypes against someone. I know for a fact that I can act quite camp sometimes but some people seem to just have to point it out and take the piss saying that I'm 'Gay'. I know I am gay, however they don't. This is probably one of the reasons why I don't want to come out of the closet at the moment. They just wind me up, I want to say something back at them but I have a feeling that I'll just make even more of a fool out of myself. :(

I know stereotypes suck but unfortunately everyone no matter who they are, how they act, what they look like will get stereotyped by someone. People like to group things, it's an easy way to judge someone as a generalization whether it's accurate or not it's still annoying but you can't really stop them short of telling them that you are in fact gay. Just be you, it gets irritating, sure, but you just have to try and ignore it as best as you can. If you try to counteract it and tell them to shut up or stop it getting defensive then they'll most likely just keep on at it. Hopefully they'll learn to grow up and mature a little soon.

I know what you mean, I have a 100% german background and when some find out, they call me things like Jewkiller, kraut, nazi, skinhead, ect... It really does get old.......

I know how you feel, this is one of the worst feelings. I, personally, am not camp but my best friend is very and because I am with him most of the time people assume that I am gay too. Its not the fact that they think I am gay that annoys me, its when people decide that I am without ever asking me and then start spreading rumours about me, I mean if they just asked I would tell them.
The best thing for you to do now is to just grin and bare it you are not ready to come.out
