Is the Nvidia 600 series really worth buying over the 500 series?

I want to get a computer built and I have to make a choice between the 580 and the 670. They're both the same price but I really don't know which is better.

Does anyone have any opinions? Or even better, do you own one of these cards?

Thanks

The GTX 670 is your best choice between a 670 and 580.Go google them vsing the Gtx 670 comes out better always.Only other cards within range that are like the 670 are the ATI 7950-70 series both i see in australia for around 500$.Its really up to u which brand u like and what u want to do with it.But its the GTX 670 or a 7950-70.

I was just reading an article that the new Nvidia cards beat all the ATI cards right now but are super expensive. I'm probably going to build a computer soon so I'm looking at different options. I bet in a few months ATI will come out with a card that beats Nvidia. Seems to usually work that way..

I'm going to say, nVidia and ATI both have strengths and weaknesses and are designed towards different applications. CUDA = awesome though :)
