Dad trying to take my life...

My close friend just told me to call the police about all the times that my dad has tried to take my life, but it happened in feburary. I'm really scared about trying to call the police because I don't know what will happen to me, my mom, and my brothers. There are so many people I want to see but if I do call the police will I ever be able to see them again until I leave when I'm 18.Everytime he does this my mom has to stop him. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!

Yes, you do need to call the police. Even if it happened then, it is still fine to call them.
What is happening to you is horrible, and you do not need to stand for it.
Call them, and tell what happened.
You're other family members most likely will not even be questioned, don't worry.
Just please, please tell someone.

i really want to call. my uncle gave me more courage to call after after talking to him. i dont want to leave my mom and brothers because i dont want him to hurt them. lately i have been smart enough to go away from my dad when he's starting an argument.

EDIT: do you know whats sad about it. For so long before this happened i tried to stay strong and not cut or anything. Once he did this i can no longer stand. i cant hold back on those things anymore. i do them. He did this so many times before but this is the one that broke me and got me to attempt suicide.

Dont call the police, go see the police one on one and file a report, your father would be arrested most likely for attempted murder, you will be refered to DOCS[(Department of Child Services)Australian] DOCS will asses your family and your mother and brothers, if they are deemed a sutible household you will stay.

Yeah . i so agree with others that you should call the attention of the cups before anything will happen seriously like taking your life away by someone who should take care of you but sadly not. Tck ! why is there such individuals that dare to get in with kind of sinful actions ?
